Mast Group Ltd. are looking to recruit a Product Manager – Microbiology to join the Sales and Marketing team. Mast Group Ltd. is a leading international manufacturer and supplier of medical diagnostics products for the diagnosis of infectious disease. Our products are used throughout the UK and worldwide. The job holder will an integral part of the team, ensuring our processes and procedures are adhered to in all they do.
We require a Product Manager – Microbiology to join our team within a multi-disciplined environment working from Daresbury, but with a requirement to travel to all locations as and when required.


THE ROLE

  • This role will maintain the existing portfolio in Microbiology whilst continuing to build on the strong base to expand the existing business offering through sustainable sales growth, market penetration, and expansion of the product offering and ensure profitability in line with company expectations.
  • To identify and deliver opportunities for new microbiology products and to maximise revenue and contribution for new product opportunities for the current Mast microbiology and molecular product range. To be the Microbiology champion across the various functions within Mast, working collaboratively with Sales, Planning, R&D and Manufacturing in driving profitable growth and building relationships with KOL and key customers in this field.
  • Portfolio Management – responsibility for all microbiology product management activities including AST/AMR, Uri, media, antisera & cryovials
  • New Product Launches – to work with the relevant cross-functional business teams to deliver new products to market and ensure new products are launched on schedule in appropriate formats with the required project management approach to achieve this.
  • IVDR – to lead on IVDR related product management & marketing activities
  • New Ideas – Identifying the right products for the market at the right time is a key responsibility of a product manager.
  • Digital Media – to manage the allocated specific product portfolio, current and future, content and performance within the Mast UK Website.
  • Corporate Branding – To ensure all marketing literature and exhibition materials are produced in line with agreed style guides and at the lowest possible cost.
  • Customer Support - To ensure that the information we provide to end-user customers, distributors, subsidiaries and sales teams is accurate, up-to-date and consistent throughout all our literature and website – adhering to Corporate Branding.
  • To ensure that all product related customer queries are handled professionally and in a timely manner, working with cross-functional departments as required to provide appropriate responses.

THE PERSON

  • At least 5 years’ experience with Medical Devices and IVDs or a related industry
  • Track record in Product Management & Marketing disciplines or willingness to move into this role
  • Background in Microbiology with a degree in biomedical science or equivalent
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good communication & relationship building skills
  • Strong network within the scientific industry

when reasonably called upon to do so.
