A range of in vitro diagnostic tests for the immunodiagnostic detection of antibodies against the causative organisms of infectious diseases. Serological diagnosis of infectious diseases requires the detection of antigens or antibodies directed to viral, bacterial or parasite invaders. Tests are available in a variety of formats.

  • MASTABLOT® Lineblot assays - infectious disease antigens are pre-coated onto nitrocellulose membrane strips which then hybridise to the associated antibodies found in the serum or plasma sample
  • MASTABLOT® Western blot assays - infectious disease antigens are PAGE separated and pre-coated onto nitrocellulose membrane which then hybridise to the associated antibodies found in the serum or plasma sample
  • MASTAZYME® Enzyme Immunoassays (EIA) - antigens for the infectious organisms are pre-coated onto 96 well microtitre plates in break-apart strip format to allow for random sampling, manual processing and use with automated EIA analysers
  • MASTAFLUOR® Immunofluorescence tests – available in a variety of formats for the detection of IgG and IgM antibodies to the bacterial, fungal, protozoan and viral causative agents of infectious disease
